Double edged tapered engraved blade with both sides dated "1671" between an engraving of a dog and a panel of scroll. The hilt has been added to this blade with a brass collar, S-shaped quillon with chiseled scroll pattern finials and panels of chiseled bore & dog scenes. Stag horn grip with a a swallow tail moulded edge ferrule and flat cap pommel with an engraved floral panel around the peened pin that fastens it to the hilt. CONDITION: Overall good. The blade has a fairly even matte grey patina with some mild mottled old oxidation spots and light wear to the engraving. The composite hilt is ok with some wiggle.
